Grover Community Service News

Grover Community Service Group (GCSG)

The Grover Community Service Group (GCSG) is a 4th and 5th grade activity lead by Ms. Morano and Mrs. Levy. The GCSG is a community service group dedicated to helping others within our school, our community, as well as around the world. While the name of the group has changed, there has been a service oriented group at Indian Grove School for more than 15 years. Some of the past service projects included making scarves for homeless shelters, participating in Trick or Treat for UNICEF, leading the school in the Pennies for Patients campaign, as well as selling various crafts made by the group and donating the profits to various organizations such as WINGS women's shelter, Heartland Animal Shelter and the Salvation Army. Each year we also have two booths at the Indian Grove Fun Fair where we sell popcorn and provide face painting.

GCSG Pledge

I aim to serve my school and better my community. I shall always speak kindly to others and treat them as I wish to be treated. I will take care of my environment and respect nature. I pledge to do these things throughout the day, everyday because I am a Grover Community Service Group member.
